The exquisite classic décor of the Hall, along with the beauty of its formal gardens, provide a calming and tranquil atmosphere that lends itself beautifully to smaller weddings and civil ceremonies.
Many of our couples choose to get married in one of the area’s ancient parish churches. Sutton Bonington itself has two churches within easy walking distance, St Michael’s and St Anne’s, making Sutton Bonington Hall the perfect venue for your wedding reception.
However, the Hall is also fully registered for civil ceremonies. If you wish, you can enjoy your entire wedding day in the comfort and charm of our historical house, safe in the knowledge that our team are working around the clock to ensure your experience of our unique wedding venue in the East Midlands will exceed all expectations.

We are honoured to be chosen as your preferred wedding venue in Leicestershire and we take our role in your special day extremely seriously.
To make sure your wedding runs seamlessly, we will work closely with our preferred list of suppliers who have significant experience in managing events and weddings for some of England’s finest country houses and stately homes. These companies are competent, flexible and personal in their delivery – and that’s why we trust them.
We can accommodate up to 100 seated guests for the wedding breakfast, and 120 guests for an evening buffet reception. Our talented caterers will conjure up a meal to remember, delivering your very own bespoke menu with elegance and flair and ensuring that any special dietary requirements are met.

How will your wedding reception unfold?
We’ll work tirelessly to ensure you enjoy a wonderful and memorable experience at our intimate private hire wedding venue.
After your ceremony, relax while your guests make themselves at home in the Hall. Our characterful country house has a warmth and appeal that soothes and charms, so at this point in the day, it’s likely that your guests will be seizing the opportunity to explore their surroundings.
The formal dining room can be used for smaller weddings. However, because it offers incredible views of the garden, most couples choose to host their wedding feast in the Conservatory. Light and spacious, our Conservatory will add a touch of elegance to proceedings – and to add an extra dash of luxury to the scene, you’ll find that the surrounding air is delicately scented by the jasmines that thrive on the south facing wall.
Your tables will be decorated to your exacting standard, enabling you to add your own personal touch to our interiors before your event.
After dining, you can retire to the Library, enjoy a spin around the dance floor in the opulent Drawing Room or take a stroll around the enchanting and mystical grounds.
